LEAD and HEN cohorts
- We are investigating the role of leukocyte telomere length in obesity development including co-morbidities associated with obesity such as hypertension, insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
- We are hoping to use leukocyte telomere length as a predictive biomarker to better understand obesity pathogenesis from birth.
- We have collected leukocyte telomere length at birth and throughout early and middle childhood.
